Trinity’s certified staff and volunteers will prepare and file your federal and state taxes at no cost to you, if you make $56,000 or less. There’s NO CATCH. Keep more of your money, and let us find you the biggest refund you are entitled to.
We have IRS certified preparers who take appointments and prepare returns free of charge.
Last year, we prepared 446 tax returns and earned our participants over $1,000,000 total in refunds (not to mention the money we saved our clients in fees as our service comes with absolutely no cost to our clients!).

- Call Tatum Anderson (FNRC Program Specialist) at 518-449-5155 x102 or email [email protected] to make an in-take appointment. You must make an appointment. Due to the number of individuals served, we are unable to accept walk-ins.
- In-take appointments will be scheduled between 1p and 4p daily at either 15 Trinity Pl. or 47 Lark St.
- After the intake appointment, volunteers will then prepare the return remotely and contact the taxpayer with questions and to review information. There will be no fully in-person tax preparations this year.
- The VITA program will run from Wednesday, January 25 to Tuesday, April 18. No appointments will be taken or scheduled for after April 18

Is Wanda available to do taxes?
Yes! Wanda will be working with us for her 14th consecutive tax season this year! We’re just completing all returns remotely, and Wanda will be doing most of them.
What can I expect at my in-take appointment?
You will bring all of the documents needed to prepare your tax return and complete a quick in-take sheet. Tatum will meet with you to ensure we have all of the necessary documents. We will then scan your documents into our GetYourRefund return platform and give you back all original documents. We will not retain copies of anything.
What happens after the in-take appointment?
Our certified tax preparer will contact you within three business days to review your return and answer any questions. You will then be able to pick up your hard copy of your return with Tatum once everything is ready for filing.
